In a special part of the international program for film professionals, Ponta Lopud offers a series of masterclasses led by Oscar winner Pawel Pawlikowski.

Pawlikowski is one of the most important filmmakers of today and winner of numerous awards from all around the world, including the Academy Award (Oscar) in 2013 for the best film in a foreign language, Ida. During three masterclasses intended for directors and actors from the region and around the world, Pawlikowski will deconstruct his famous films and demonstrate his own way of working on film preparation and realization. Pawlikowski will not only include participants in the conversations about his extensive filmmaking experience, but also give them an opportunity to present their own ideas, visions and projects. The conversations will be held at many island locations, including the RMH Lafodia Sea Resort.

Through creative meetings of Ponta Lopud Festival, participants will gain new experiences and knowledge, have many networking opportunities and create long-lasting professional relationships.

This year’s masterclass participants will be invited to Lopud directly by the organizers, while in the coming years the invitation for professional film workshops will be open to public.

Masterclass is organized with the support of the Cinelink Sarajevo Film Festival.
