ANTONETA ALAMAT KUSIJANOVIĆ is a Croatian director and screenwriter born in Dubrovnik in 1985.She currently lives in New York. After graduating in Production from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb, she earned her Master’s degree in Directing from Columbia University. Her directorial debut “Murina” premiered during the Directors ’Fortnight section at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival, where it won the Caméra d’Or for Best First Feature. Her short film “Into the Blue” won multiple awards at international film festivals in Berlin, Sarajevo and Oberhausen. Thanks to her projects, she has participated in the Résidence du Festival of Cinéfondation program, the Berlinale Talent Lab and many others. She is a member of the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
